EXPRESSIONISTS MAGAZINE:

“FRACTURES IN FOCUS”

When the Weisman Museum of Art’s exhibit “Hold My Hand In Yours” was shut down by Pepperdine administration for being deemed “overtly political,” Jace recognized an opportunity to respond. As Chief Editor of the 2025–2026 edition of Expressionists Magazine at Pepperdine University, he curated over 50+ student submissions into an arts and literary issue titled "FRACTURES IN FOCUS." The theme explores the many dimensions of a “fracture”—how breaks in politics, society, family, and the self become visible, and even sharpen, under pressure.

Alongside the editorial vision, Jace spearheaded the magazine’s campaign. Creating a multi-team screening panel system based on genre of submission, Jace constructed a cohesive and collaboratively raw identity through promotional materials, social media strategy, and coffeehouse launch events.

Together, these efforts cultivated a piece that attempts to give a voice back to the students. “FRACTURES IN FOCUS” offers an unfiltered presence, positioning Expressionists ‘25-26 as an experience demanding your attention.

Launch Date: April 15, 2026.
